About the Company:

Our client is one of the largest Museum in North America. The Museum consists of almost 500 thousand square feet of art displays from around the world. Located in Toronto, they have become a tourism hot spot with a state of the art building system and design that has made them a well known landmark in Ontario.

They are seeking a Building Mechanic / Licensed Millwright to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot building related problems including: mechanical, electrical, architectural, plumbing, life safety, elevator, steam and hot water boiler systems and auxiliary equipment
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures
  • Maintain, service, replace and/or repair system devices and all associated components of Siemens Building Automation System
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve BAS problems
  • Create and/or modify BAS software to ensure proper operation and control of equipment needs
  • Maintain/service computerized systems and devices
  • Participate in the operation and programming of GE Lighting Control System
  • Work with other trades and offer support when needed
  • Conduct daily routine analyses
  • Other duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid 433A or Red Seal Millwright License
  • 5+ years of experience working in a comparable facility
  • Proven knowledge of building mechanical, electrical and automated building systems or related practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in appropriate computer systems
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, Safety Regulations and practices
  • Able to work within a team and independently
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Flexibility in working on call when needed
