About the Company:

Our client is a busy and growing glass and aluminum company that has been established for over 50 years. They offer full-service installations of curtain wall systems, storefronts, windows, window walls, glass doors, and interior glazing to meet a variety of structural and aesthetic requirements. They are seeking an Estimator / Coordinator to join their growing and innovative team!

Responsibilities:

• Calculate quantity materials required and prepare labour estimates
• Review FTP sites and other plan rooms for appropriate tender request
• Maintain job files with supporting documents, develop schedules and create purchase and/or suppliers for improved quality, cost, effectiveness and reliability
• Communicate with key customers and maintain relationships
• Price and create documentation for customer changes and extras

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in estimating/coordinating (commercial glazing considered an asset)
• Diploma in AutoCAD, Construction or Architectural Engineering Technology is an asset
• Combined field experience and estimation is considered an asset
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Must possess high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Experience with glazing contracts, unitized curtain wall systems, and Kawneer products (asset)
• Valid Driver’s License with a cleaning driving abstract
