About the Company:
Our client is an electrical contracting company specializing in the commercial and industrial sectors. They have been providing services to clients in the GTA for over 10 years. Their team is expanding rapidly, they are currently seeking an electrical estimator to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Examine proposals, blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work for projects
- Prepare material orders and other documentation as required
- Visit job sites to assess progress and maintain logs to attempt to troubleshoot problems
- Create project plans to define tasks and assign work
- Negotiate with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-4 year’s experience working with Accubid
- Minimum 1-4 year’s experience with electrical installations in industrial/commercial settings
- License 309A/442 OR Diploma/ Degree in electrical is an asset
- Expert in reviewing blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with take-off procedures and bid preparation
- Understanding of Engineering codes
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
