About the Company:

Our client is a trusted Canadian contractor servicing Toronto and the GTA. They specialize in drywall installation, drywall taping, spray foam insulation and metal stud framing. Their excellent reputation has been built on providing feasible insulation products and dependable drywall services in a timely and on-budget manner. They are the go-to company for home owners, contractors and industry professionals and are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Site Superintendent to perform their hands-on construction projects while successfully managing them.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee completion of projects
• Schedule and monitor job progress
• Complete work in a timely manner (including budgets for labour, tools, equipment and materials)
• Adhere to occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Train and coordinate a crew of workers while following company policy and procedures
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all clients, builders and employees
• Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as production reports, timesheets, equipment – logs, inspection reports, order changes and updating project files
• Other duties assigned

Requirements:

• Must have experience in carpentry, drywall, and finishing
• Construction hands-on experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a project management or site superintendent role
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Punctual, responsible and dependable
• Valid G Driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
• Valid Safety Training Certificates (Working at Heights Certificate, WHMIS, & OHSA in 4 steps, etc.)
