Our client is a Canadian energy consulting firm, empowering high-performance smart buildings to go beyond industry standards and create energy opportunities with exclusive award-winning technologies. As the quickest, growing energy-advisory firm within the GTA, they are growing at a rapid pace and looking for multiple full-time Senior Energy Engineers to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and evaluate energy-related projects and programs to reduce energy costs
  • Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operations
  • Monitor and analyze energy usage data
  • Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use, costs, or conservation measures
  • Perform energy modelling, measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro commissioning
  • Create models of engineering designs or methods
  • Conduct job site observations, field inspections, or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyses
  • Evaluate plans or specifications to determine technological or environmental implications.
  • Inspect or monitor energy systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or refrigeration systems to determine energy use or potential energy savings
  • Prepare project reports and other program or technical documentation
  • Train personnel or clients on topics such as energy management
  • Reviewing documentation, policies, procedures, and reports

Requirements:

  • Must have a degree in engineering, P.Eng degree considered an asset
  • CEM (Certified Energy Manager), CEA (Certified Energy Auditor), or CMVP (Certified Measurements and Verification Professional) designations considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with commercial and/or industrial buildings
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with HVAC systems
  • Travel is required must have a drivers license with a clean abstract
  • Must have knowledge of energy engineering in commercial, multi-residential, and/or industrial buildings, with a strong focus on consulting, project management, and independent work effort
  • Strong communication skills
  • A positive attitude, showing up on time and being respectful to others is mandatory
  • Strong team-player mindset with ability to work well with and support other employees in the office
