Our client is a busy and growing design-build general contractor headquartered in Mississauga, ON. Operating with an excellent team of project managers, coordinators and site superintendents, they specialize in commercial and industrial projects.  Offering passion and integrity for craftsmanship, they have built a reputation for quality construction, strong customer relationships and superior technical expertise.

They are seeking Senior Project Manager to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct and closeout commercial projects
  • Review and interpret plans and specifications according to scope of work and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles
  • Lead and evaluate development of schedules, budgets, take-offs, estimates, pricing, tenders and contracts
  • Collaborate quality of work performance and efficiency to client, constructor, subcontractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed effectively and within budget
  • Monitor and direct teams on a daily basis and communicate any anticipated delays or changes to scope of work
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to members to maximize growth, execution and meet service commitments
  • Ensure the implementation of strict company guidelines for code of conduct
  • Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines to create a safe work environment throughout the job site
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Educational background in construction, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a construction management role
  • Experience handling large mid-rise commercial projects
  • Experience with retirement and long-term care projects
  • Experience in the ICI Construction Industry is an asset
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Project)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time-management skills
